Small Group Learning Class

We organize a number of small group learning classes in order to strengthen the learning support for under-privileged children. All classes are free of charge, and are only eligible for children of those families under the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance Scheme or children who receive full subsidies under the Student Textbook Assistance Scheme issued by the Student Financial Assistance Agency.

For those students who are interested, please submit your registration to our Learning Centre in person during office hours, or submit your on-line registration using the electronic form set forth below. English Learning Class

  • Details of the class: Helping students improve their speaking and listening skills in English.
  • Date: Every Thursday, 4:30-5:30pm
  • Time: One lesson per week. Each lesson is for one hour.
  • Service’s targets: Students from Primary 3 to Primary 4
  • Place: Our Prince Edward headquarters

Chinese Writing Class

  • Details of the class: Focus mainly on learning Chinese proverbs and idioms, strengthening students’ understanding of vocabulary.
  • Date: Every Sunday, 5-6:30pm
  • Time: One lesson per week. Each lesson is for one and a half hours.
  • Service’s targets: Primary 3 to Primary 6 students
  • Place: Our Jordan Branch

English Storytelling Class

  • Details of the class:  Storytelling of picture books in English, helping children to learn simple English vocabularies and sentences in a relaxing manner.
  • Date: Every Sunday, 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Time: One lesson per week. Each lesson is for one hour.
  • Service’s targets:  Students from Primary 2 to Primary 6
  • Place: Our Jordan Branch

Homework Tutorial Class

  • Details of the class: Volunteer teachers will help students with any problems they have with their homework, and help students improve their knowledge on the subject using appropriate learning materials.
  • Date: Every Monday to Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Time: Each lesson is for two hours.
  • Service’s targets:  All Primary students
  • Place: Our Jordan Branch

South Asian Ethnics’ Chinese Learning Class

  • Details of the class: Helping South Asian ethnics’ students learn Chinese through arts and storytelling etc.
  • Date: Every Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Class A) or 3:00 p.m. to 4:00p.m. (Class B)
  • Time: One lesson per week. Each lesson is for one hour.
  • Service’s targets: South Asian ethnics’ kindergarten children
  • Place: Our Jordan Branch

South Asian Ethnics’ English Learning Class

  • Details of the class: Helping South Asian ethnics’ students improve their English skills, through games, music and storytelling etc.
  • Date: Every Monday and Thursday, 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Time: Two lessons per week. Each lesson is for one hour.
  • Service’s targets:  South Asian ethnics’ kindergarten children
  • Place: Our Jordan Branch

South Asian Ethnics’ Chinese Storytelling Class

  • Details of the class:  Storytelling of picture books in Cantonese, helping children to learn simple Chinese vocabularies and sentences in a relaxing manner.
  • Date: Every Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Class A) or 3:00 p.m. to 4:00p.m. (Class B)
  • Time: One lesson per week. Each lesson is for one hour.
